Picture

At CAST Canada we enjoy traveling to you.  It just makes sense.

It is part of our mandate to travel to hard to reach, hard to serve areas, to deliver quality, cost effective, team and community in-services. We have developed some unique, powerful material around delivering support in very small communities. Lately we have been to have been in Nova Scotia, Edmonton ,  Ottawa, Yellowknife  and downtown Vancouver, as well as  Geraldton ON,   Shawanaga ON,  Eskasoni NS,  Carleton Place ON,  Maniwaki  QC and Little Current on Manitoulin Island.

“As educators we need to recognize that trauma is impacting our students both directly and indirectly.  The CAST Canada session provided insight into this reality as well as perspectives that aided my understanding of trauma. “

About the Workshops:

  “Real, Raw and Relevant”
Sessions are based in the reality of the experience. The ideas evolved in over 85 discussions with people presently struggling with trauma and addiction or at a point of change, as well as Founder Tom Regehr’s personal and Becca Partington's professional experiences.

Practical and immediately applicable
Ideas, language, tools and practical examples come from ongoing discussions with professionals.  Material was proofed in over 100 workshops and panel discussions with direct service providers!

FAQs

  1.    How long in advance should I email to request a training?
We can deliver established material within a month or two as availability permits  and require some longer lead time for adapted material or community   consultation prior to the training if that is part of the agreement.

  2.   What are the costs for a one day training?
Our training rate generally runs from $1800 - $2500 per day plus appropriate travel costs. This costs includes two presenters to balance and offset the emotional nature and supportive needs of the day as required.

  3.  How many participants can we have in an in-service training?
We generally find that a maximum number of participants for our sessions is 45 given the nature of the conversation and room dynamics.  However, we are happy to explore adapting the material and process to work with you and your team as needed.

  4.   Do you have outcomes for each workshop?
We sure do.  It is important to us that your team leaves with specific goals, skills and outcomes to determine success, as well as the option for certificate of completion.

  5.   Who usually attends your trainings?
We offer trainings to a mixed blend of professionals including social and social service workers, healthcare professionals, educators, justice leads and private practitioners.
